I’ve moved into a larger and better studio this year. Hooray! About half of my sessions are on-location, but for the other half, this new space is just perfect. Best of all, I’ve just moved a block away from my old spot so finding the new location won’t be difficult. The new studio has a rock wall with great texture, lots of natural light, and more space… all very essential and welcomed. In addition, there’s more space to display my work and product samples.

Here’s another peek at a recent newborn session. This baby girl was so sweet, and despite being a few weeks old already, still loved to be curled up in that way only newborns can.

I’ve been photographing a lot of newborns this summer! I love it. I just love the way newborns curl up, the way their just-born bodies feel so comfortable being held so tightly. And seeing these new relationships forming.
how intense is that expression? and how sincere is that comfort with mama?
We took this little guy outside the studio to get some photos of him surrounded by green. He seemed to like it.

It’s been a busy summer so far and I’m behind on keeping this blog updated. I have lots of recent sessions for which I’d like to post some favorites and should get to that very soon. But for now… I’m just popping in with this announcement.
I’ll once again be offering mini sessions this summer at my studio on Bee Caves Road. These 30 minute sessions can take place on the following dates:

Tuesday, August 11th
These will fill quickly as they are offered at a discount, so be sure to reserve your baby, child or family photo session right away. Sessions may take place either outdoors in the natural setting surrounding my studio or inside to beat the summer heat. Contact me for all the details!
I first met (and photographed) these clients over four years ago when their first child was a newborn, and they are expecting another baby any day now. It’s truly a pleasure to see this little one, who I first photographed at a few days old, about to become a big sister.
One of my favorite things about maternity photo sessions is capturing that overwhelming sense of anticipation. And documenting a family about to experience some very big and very wonderful changes.

I need to start digging through my archives and posting shots from way back then to include with these new ones. It will certainly be fun to look at the newborn photos side-by-side when the new little one arrives. I eagerly look forward to the news!
